This policy applies to all information on organizers and contact persons that you view, unlock or export in SpeakerRadar, in particular to events that you unlock in the Event Catalog. It summarizes what you must observe when using this data and supplements our Terms and Conditions. It does not constitute legal advice.
1. SpeakerRadar Does Not Send Messages
SpeakerRadar provides you with information on events, organizers and contact persons. SpeakerRadar itself does not send emails or other messages to these persons and does not offer any function for sending them. Whether, when and how you make contact is your own decision and takes place via your own channels.
2. Origin of the Data
The information originates from publicly accessible sources on the internet. SpeakerRadar analyzes these sources automatically and prepares the information in a structured form.
3. No Guarantee of Timeliness and Deliverability
Public information changes, for example when a person changes their position or employer or an event is postponed. We do not guarantee that the information is correct, complete and up to date or that an email address can be delivered to. Please verify important information before using it. In all other respects, § 4 and § 6 of the Terms apply.
4. Your Responsibility for Outreach
For any use of the data, in particular for storage in your own systems, export and making contact, you are yourself the independent controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In particular, the following applies:
- Before each contact, you check whether it is permissible. The fact that a person is publicly named does not mean that this person has consented to being contacted.
- Under § 7 (2) No. 2 UWG (German Act Against Unfair Competition), advertising by email requires prior express consent, also vis-à-vis companies and associations, and advertising calls to companies require at least their presumed consent. Your obligations under § 7 (4) of the Terms remain unaffected.
- You inform the data subject about your own data processing under Art. 14 GDPR, including the source of the data, at the latest when you first contact them.
- If a person objects to the use of their data or asks not to be contacted again, you respect this immediately, do not approach them again and delete their data in your own systems.
- You use the data only in connection with the respective event and delete it when you no longer need it for this purpose.
5. No Disclosure and No Resale
You may use the data only for your own client acquisition as a speaker. Passing on, reselling, renting or otherwise making the data available to third parties is not permitted, not even in edited or aggregated form (§ 9 (2) of the Terms).
6. No Mass Mailings
The data may not be used for unsolicited mass mailings, automated email sequences, inclusion in newsletter distribution lists or any other spam use. Permissible outreach is personal and relates to the specific event.
7. Deletion at the Request of Data Subjects
Persons whose data is processed in SpeakerRadar can object to the processing or request its deletion at any time. We then delete the data in SpeakerRadar. Further details can be found in our Privacy Policy. If you learn of such an objection, you also delete the data in your own systems and in files already exported.
8. Reporting Errors
If you come across incorrect or outdated information, for example an undeliverable email address, please write to contact@myos.solutions and name the event concerned. We will review the information and correct or remove it.
9. Violations
If you materially violate this policy, we may temporarily block your access in accordance with § 7 (6) of the Terms. § 14 of the Terms applies to third-party claims arising from your use of the data.
10. No Legal Advice
This policy provides an overview and does not replace legal advice. We do not provide legal advice. If in doubt, please consult your legal advisor or your data protection officer.
